Blind Race. Para-Olympians from Kazakhstan pay visit to Łódź

On August 30, Łódź hosted a group of Kazakh Para-Olympians. The meeting was organized as part of the Blind Race project initiated by the “Sport Without Limits” organization.

The members of the expedition are blind and visually impaired cyclists who intend to travel the 5,000 kilometers route leading from Astana to Paris. The main goal of the initiative is to promote Para-Olympic cycling and to draw attention to the problems of the blind. The plans of athletes include travel through six countries (Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany and France). In Poland, stops for Para-Olympics were. Among others in Warsaw and Łódź, and the promotion of the event was joined by the Embassy of Kazakhstan, the Polish Para-Olympic Committee and the Polish Olympic Committee.

On August 30, cyclists came from Warsaw to Łódź. They were accompanied by Temirlan Nurakhimov, II Secretary of the Kazakh Embassy. The athletes met with Vice Mayor of Łódź Krzysztof Piątkowski, with whom they had a conversation and took commemorative photos.

Then, together with a guide, they went to visit Piotrkowska street. The next day they set off towards Germany to meet representatives of Frankfurt on the Oder.
