The motto of this year’s edition is: “A RESPONSIBLE HUMAN”. During the two days of the ECO MAKE conference, visitors will have an opportunity to take advantage of exhibitions, lectures, workshops and educational paths as well as to participate in the international conference in the form of a debate entitled “Renewable design space 2.0”, which will address the most significant topics related to conscious and sustainable design. 

Another important event during the ECO MAKE 2018 design and art students and pedagogues are encouraged to take part in is the BLUE DROP international competition. The task of its participants will be to create a work of art using waste materials. What is more, each of them will have to obtain those materials from local entrepreneurs by themselves. The winner will receive a prize of PLN 30,000. The competition is above all aimed at drawing artists’ attention to the ecological aspect of design.

In addition, to facilitate access to information on how to use materials in a way that promotes their recycling, the Academy of Art in Łódź will create a Library of waste materials and make it available to the designers.
