Exhibition of a collection of dresses inspired by Frida Kahlo's paintings

On December 9, 2017 - January 3, 2018, at the Cinematography Museum in Łódź (Plac Zwycięstwa 1), an exhibition of dresses by Isabel March will be presented, which are inspired by paintings of Frida Kahlo.

It will be an event accompanying the exhibition “ Frida and Diego. Long live life! “.

During the inauguration of the dress exhibition ( December 9, at 4:30 pm), was planned a meeting with Ms Isabel March – the author of the project.

The impulse to create the collection entitled: Frida by Isabel March, were the emanating emotions, as well as colors, images and self-portraits of the artist Frida Khalo, her life as well as her creativity and exceptional sensitivity. Equally important was the inspiration of the culture of extinct Indian civilizations and the sun-filled and contradictory nature of Mexico.

Throughout the project, there is a clear fascination with the work of eminent Mexican artists: David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera, as well as the aesthetics of the Mexican festival of the dead (Día de Muertos).

In 2016, the Frida collection made its debut during the Warsaw Fashion Week.
