The city took the first place in the following categories:

- cooperation with local universities

- cooperation with local investor support unit

- availability of talent/highly-qualified workers

Łódź placed higher in the ranking than cities such as: Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław or Trójmiasto.

The basic assumption of the report prepared by ABSL “Modern business services sector in Poland 2019” is providing comprehensive information on the operation of business processes outsourcing centres (BPO), shared services centres/global services centres (SSC/GBS) as well as IT and R&D centres. The report also presents development trends in the sector.

The basic source of information on the functioning of these entities were the results of a nationwide study conducted by ABSL in the first quarter of 2019. This year’s study covered 200 companies, which employ a total of 155,000 people in their service centres in Poland, i.e. 51% of the sector’s employees.
