Łódź Special Economic Zone – public aid

Łódź Special Economic Zone offers a series of facilitations for investors who decide to conduct their business activity within the zone. The Zone’s area is 1,775 ha in three voivodships: Łódzkie, Mazowieckie and Wielkopolskie, guaranteeing a perfect location in the centre of Poland, a well-developed transport network, and most of all, a high level of public aid.

Łódź Special Economic Zone offers a series of facilitations for investors who decide to conduct their business activity within the zone.

The public aid at the area of the Łódź SEZ is, among others, exemption from corporate or personal income tax. In some cases, there is also a possibility of exemption from property tax. A public aid can be received for starting an investment or creating new jobs, and its amount depends on the size of the enterprise and is as follows: 35% for large companies, 45% for medium-sized companies, and as much as 55% for small enterprises. Small and medium-sized enterprises constitute more than half of all enterprises concentrated in the Zone and can count on a comprehensive assistance of employees from the Łódź SEZ.

Running a company within the area of the Łódź SEZ is possible if the value of a planned investment amounts to at least EUR 100,000 and the enterprise ensures maintaining the investment in the region for a minimum period of 5 years from the completion of the entire undertaking (3 years for SMEs) and maintaining the level of employment for the minimum period of 5 years (3 years in the case of small and medium-sized enterprises).
