Days of Polish Hungarian Friendship in Veshprem

Celebrations of the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Days in Veszprem As part of the ceremony, conferences were devoted to the economy and smart city, as well as European Cultural Heritage.

The economic cooperation and potentials of both countries have been summarized, including the largest Polish investors in Hungary (including LOT, Reserved, Sinsay, Mercom, and Mohito) and Hungarian in Poland (Mol, Wizz, RG Richter Gedeon, and Futeral). Were also presented the perspective areas of Polish-Hungarian cooperation (electro mobility, digitization, trade in services, R&D - Visegrad countries and Israel, construction industry, transport development). Hungary is also a basin of modern business services, ICT and start-ups, which may constitute another platform for Polish-Hungarian cooperation.  In the field of culture, has been presented the European Commission program on European Cultural Heritage. The program aims to encourage as many people as possible to discover and appreciate the European heritage and strengthen the feeling of belonging to a common European space. This year's slogan is: “Our heritage: here the past meets the future”. 

A number of initiatives and events will be organized in Europe throughout the year. All of them will aim to bring the cultural heritage closer to the public.

As part of this conference, Mr  Krzysztof Piątkowski, Vice Mayor of Łódź, presented good practices in the field of culture.

Cultural events taking place in Łódź were presented - Festivals, cultural programs for youth and seniors. In addition was presented, a revitalization and social revitalization program. The main celebrations of the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Days were inaugurated by the Polish and Hungarian Presidential Couples. Presidents of both countries solemnly opened the gala at the Hangvilla Cultural Center in Veszprem. During these ceremonies, Kielce received the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day Flag, which means that Kielce will host the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Days next year. 

The gala was graced by the concerts of the Youth Choir of Gift Sisters from Kraków, the Youth Choir of the Padányi Catholic School in Veszprém and the Youth Band of Zoltán Gárdonyi.
