The idea of the inter-modal transport is based on transporting cargo with various means of transportation so that they do not need to be overloaded. Transmec Group, operating in this industry for years, have decided for another investment and launched a connection between Oradea and Łódź. Oradea is a private terminal in Romania which is co-owned by P&O Ferrymasters. The facility constitutes an important point on the map of transport market, similarly as Łódź located in central Poland. By May, trains will run in both directions once a week. After that, the frequency of connections is to increase to up to twice a week.

Railway connection with Romania is not the only international success which Łódź can brag about. The Europe’s fastest railway cargo connection from Łódź Olechów to the Chinese Sichuan has been operating since 2013. Along with it, the Łódź Region established cooperation with China, not only in terms of business, but also science and culture.
