The goal was to promote green roofs and living walls as a tool of adaptation to climate change in urban areas, including the development of strategies for their development. The project involves the assimilation of German practices, in particular, the experiences of Hamburg. The exchange of experiences and cooperation were initiated, with the goal of developing 8 local strategies, dissemination of ideas, and raising the awareness of the role of green roofs in climate protection.

In 2018, Bydgoszcz joined the “Green roofs” project. This is the result of German inspiration and funding under the European Initiative for Climate (EUKI).
