Last year, the following appeared or developed their business in the city: BFF Banking Group, BSH IT, Global Competence Centre Philips, Commerz Systems. Thanks to the fact that Poland’s largest developers trusted Łódź, companies that want to conduct business here do not have to wait long for a space they need. The total office space in the city amounts to approx. 469 thousand m2, and vacant buildings – 8.7%

According to ABSL data, Łódź is the best city in Poland for cooperation between service centres and higher educa-tion schools. Around 87 thousand students study at Łódź universities, and the academic environment supports business a lot. At the Łódź University of Technology, faculties and fields of study related to the sector of BPO/SSC/IT are being created. Currently, there are over 20 thousand employees employed in the sector in Łódź. Łódź is the Poland’s sixth centre of modern services for business.
