Nanchong is located on the important One Belt One Road trade route, also called the new silk route.

The city delegation headed by Song Choahua, First Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee in Nanchong, met with the City of Łódź Deputy Mayor Tomasz Trela.

The talks focused on the factory history of Łódź, experiences related to revitalization and development of Łódź as a science and culture center. An important and often mentioned issue was the location of Łódź in the heart of Europe and its ability to quickly transport goods to every European capital that makes Łódź and ideal partner for cooperation. Members of the Nanchong delegation expressed interests in logistics cooperation related to the One Belt One Road trade route and cultural cooperation.
