During the meeting with The Mayor, Mr Ambassador had the opportunity to learn about the strategic directions of our city development and the biggest challenges for the near future. A large part of the meeting was devoted to the cooperation between Łódź and Finnish Tampere, one of our partner cities. Tampere, same as Łódź is strongly involved in the revitalization process. The similar history of the both cities is the basis of cooperation in modern Europe. Tampere is seeking the title of European capital of culture 2026. The talks were also concerned about topics related to the environmental protection. Finland plan to switch to using only zero-emission energy sources by 2035.
