The theme of the conference was the signing of the free trade agreement between the European Union and Japan, which will enter into force this year. The Ambassador stressed that Poland is one of the most important partners of Japan and this year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
The conference was attended by representatives of the world of science from Japan, Germany, Ukraine and Poland, represented by scientists from universities in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Łódź. Business participants were: JETRO ( Japan External Trade Organization), which acts as an intermediary in contacts on the Japanese market, FUJITSU, Japan Tobacco and the trading company ITOCHU Corporation.
During the presentation in tree thematic blocks were raised the issues of the similarities and differences in corporate governance, corporate social responsibility in European countries and Japan, as well as issues in the field of culture, customs and arcane of the business etiquette of the Land of the Cherry Blossoms.
This even was also one of the stages, leading to the creation of a strong research and didactic center in Łódź dedicated to Japan.
