As a city with strong industrial roots, Polish textile industry hub in the past and today the destination for most innovative manufacturing investments in Poland, Łódź has a rich talent pool for blue collar roles, fueled every year by the graduates of Łódź vocational schools and skilled workers relocating from abroad, in particular from the eastern border.
With more than 1,2 million people living in the agglomeration area and almost 690 thousand people living within the city limits (including almost 400 thousand working-age population), Łódź is one of the largest labour markets in Poland.
To meet the growing and evolving demand of today’s industry, Łódź secondary and vocational schools system educates future specialists in such fields as logistics, mechatronics, electronics, energy, services and many others.
The city is a popular location for investors from manufacturing sectors.
Łódź becomes a more and more attractive relocation destination for blue collars from across the eastern border. The attractivity of the city is strengthened by urban and regional programmes intended to support relocating foreigners and addressed both to employees and to employers.
