Companies from Łódź are involved in computer games development too. Apart from a number of IT startups and companies active in the gaming sector, Łódź houses several institutions supporting the industry. 

The Łódź Gamedev Cluster was initiated and is coordinated by Łódzka Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A. (ŁARR S.A. - Łódź Regional Development Agency) under the "New Technology Cluster" project co-financed by the European Union. This is the first and only project of this type in the Łódź Voivodeship, giving the opportunity to develop cooperative relations and joint production of computer game producers. Project consists in associating in a cluster institutions, business, universities and people interested in the latest available technologies in the field of IT solutions.

The ICT Cluster connects ICT companies, business environment institutions, Łódź high education institutions including Lodz University of Technology as the coordinator. its main goals include:

• integration of the environment of entities from the IT, telecommunications and electronic industries,
• supporting entrepreneurship and developing the labour market in the area of ​​ICT,
• creating conditions for the implementation of new information and information technologies,
• organising trainings for personnel for the IT, telecommunications and electronic industries.

To meet the needs of the market, public and private higher education institutions in Łódź launched a number of academic courses dedicated to the ITC industry, including those that may be of particular interest to the gaming industry.

Apart from that local universities arrange a number of IT-related events, such as the National Competition for the Team Creation of Computer Games, to create a unique platform for collaboration of university teachers, students and IT companies. 

It is also worth mentioning that, set up as a part of the EC1 in Łódź, the Centre for Comic and Interactive Narration is an innovative institution aiming at introducing the visitors to the art of comic and interactive narration.
